Reservations and functions at The Queens Head - Terms & Conditions
We are a small independent pub in Soho with limited seating. These terms and conditions are not to deter but intended to ensure that your function goes smoothly and that all arrangements are fair and agreed upon by the customer and the company. By confirming your booking you are accepting the Terms & Conditions below
1. An enquiry does not constitute a booking. Please await confirmation of your reservation. We reserve the right to cancel any provisional bookings.
2. Management reserves the right to refuse a booking for professional, health and safety, licensing or other business reasons.
3. We can take reservations for groups no smaller than 4 and no larger than 8 without a deposit. For bookings of 8-15 we require a £25 deposit, and for groups of 15-25 a £50 deposit is needed to secure the booking. Your booking will not be confirmed until payment has been received.
4. A deposit payable by credit or debit card will be required to hold an area for exclusive hire. Deposits will be refunded to the card used to pay the deposit or deducted from your bill providing that the criteria from the terms & conditions are met. In addition to those criteria already mentioned, deposits will not be refunded if;
a. Your booking is cancelled or the date is changed with less than one week’s prior notice.
b. Any person attending your function is responsible for causing damage to the building or its contents.
c. Any person attending your function is caught stealing or is found present in an area of the premises that is not open to the public.
d. You or your party fail to meet predetermined and agreed-upon criteria such as a minimum spend or minimum attendance.
e. You or any person attending your function is being physically or verbally abusive towards staff or customers. Discrimination or abuse of any sort is not tolerated on our premises.
5. For private hires, if the number of guests attending your function is significantly less than originally agreed upon, we reserve the right to waive the private hire agreement and open areas tothe general public and or give away unused tables and seating.
6. If a deposit has been paid, it will be refunded within 1-2 working days subject to arriving on time, and following our terms and conditions. Alternatively, the deposit can be used towards a drinks tab.
7. For table bookings advanced warning is required if you wish to alter the amount of guests attending.
8. We will do our best to meet requests made by the customer for specific tables or areas but cannot guarantee that these requests will be fulfilled and can be changed at management’s discretion.
9. If you are running more than 10 minutes late and we have not been notified we will give the tables away.
10. The Queens Head accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to any property of the customer or its guests, unless caused as a direct result of any negligent or fraudulent act, or omission by the company.
11. The organisers of the function will be held responsible for their guests and their conduct. We reserve the right to remove intoxicated guests from our premises. We also reserve the right to call a function short if guests do not act responsibly. Any deliberate damages and breakages during the event will be billed to the organiser.
12. We are unable to start a tab for the booking unless it is prepaid.
13. If the number of guests attending your table/area booking is significantly less than originally agreed upon, we reserve the right to give away unused tables and seating.
14. We do not offer corkage. No customer may bring beverages to consume on site. This is for health, trading standards, licensing and business reasons. Customers found to be consuming products not purchased on site may be asked to leave or could forfeit their deposit.
15. No customer may bring in food to consume on site unless previously agreed with management.
16. Everyone attending must be over 18 years old and prepared to show a physical acceptable form of ID such as:
a. Passport (UK or international; unexpired)
b. Driving licences or provisional driving licence (UK or EU; unexpired)
c. Proof of age cards with a PASS logo, such as, a CitizenCard or Young Scot card
d. EU national identity card (unexpired)
17. We have a strict no-drugs policy at The Queens Head. Anyone found in possession or using drugs on the premises will be removed and authorities will be contacted.
18. The Queens Head takes every measure to comply with all legal legislation, including the Licensing Act 2003.
